The goal of the project is to develop an innovative medical diagnostic technology that would accelerate the diagnosis of tumor lesions by detecting lncRNAs in the blood at an early stage. This would open up an area of cancer diagnosis that could make a major breakthrough in the early detection of certain diseases that are still considered untreatable today and create the opportunity for successful therapy.
The essence of the innovative lncRNA-based medical diagnostic procedure to be developed during the project:
1 the selection of the appropriate target lncRNAs and their validation on the blood samples of patients
2 development of a nanoparticle-based lncRNA detection
3 development of lncRNA detection with fluorescent probes based on “Lab on a Chip” technology.
In this way, an easy-to-use diagnostic tool can be created for the early detection and diagnosis of several types of cancer (leukemia, gastrointestinal cancers) even during a routine check from blood samples.
